 AMD has announced that they have been able to identify the cause of the defects in their Ryzen 7000 processors. In a Statement to Anandtech the company stated that the issues are due to excessively high voltages that are outside of the intended specifications. In response, motherboard manufacturers have received an updated AGESA version, whose version number is COMBOAM5PI 1070. This new version will soon be integrated into BIOS updates for all AM5 mainboards and will contain lots of new features and also bug fixes. Among other things, it should ensure that the AM5 CPUs can’t take SoC voltages of more than 1.3 volts to prevent the CPUs from the burnout that just became public.

 

 The company has also emphasized that the new AGESA version should not affect the operation of RAM overclocking via the EXPO function. This is quite remarkable, since exactly this function has been responsible for the increased voltage on many motherboards so far. Also in the ChangeLog available to me, the abbreviation RPL (Raphael) does not exclusively refer to the X3D series, which is then called RPLX3D when it becomes exclusive. Thus, AMD also confirms in the new ChangeLog that all current processors of the 7000 series were affected by the said defects. I have exclusively filtered out the most important changes in the ChangeLog for you and deleted the rest. RPL stands for Raphael, RPLX3D for the X3D processors and PHX or PHX2 for Phoenix. Even though it’s primarily about Raphael, i.e. our well-known Ryzen 7000, I’ve also selected a part of the entries for Phoenix and Phoenix 2, because they still hide very interesting information.

Update: Samsung has come out with a firmware update aimed at preserving the longevity of its 990 Pro SSDs. Despite this, DavidB, a moderator from the German Samsung forum, highlights that the smart values have not been reset. The exact reason behind the accelerated drop in lifespan is unclear and it remains to be seen if the firmware can effectively reverse any erroneous wear.

The update, version 1B2QJXD7, can be easily accessed through the Samsung Magician tool (download) or by visiting the given link. This is a crucial step for users to take in ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of their 990 Pro SSDs.

με το Ada Lovelace έχει πετύχει  επιδόσεις και μειωμένη κατανάλωση (όσον αφορά την προηγούμενη γενιά)
άσχετα με το 128it, έτσι όπως βλέπω τα specs είναι μια απλή 4060
στα ράφια θα έπρεπε να είναι στα 300€ και μετά από κάποιο διάστημα να πέσει στα 250€.

Μην με κολάζεις γιατί την συγκεκριμένη προσφορα την πηρα πρεφα πριν απο μερικες ωρες και κοιτάω για 3060Τi εδω και καιρό και σε τετοια τιμη και με 3 χρονια εγγυηση απο μαγαζί που θα υπάρχει και αυριο, δεν εχω βρει μεχρι στιγμης...η υλοποιηση είναι λίγο όρτσα αλλά και πάλι...αρχιζω και αμφιβαλλω σοβαρα αν και στο BF θα βρω κατι καλυτερο...

αν δεν είχα καρτούλα θα χτύπαγα την rx 6800 
είχε rx6700 sta 350€ (εξαντλήθηκε), έχει ακόμα rx6750 XT στα 500€

Μήπως εννοείς Samsung 980 Pro; Σε αυτήν την περίπτωση, είναι εντελώς συγκρίσιμοι οι δίσκοι, με τον WD να κερδίζει ελαφρά στα σημεία σε μερικούς δείκτες (πχ Seq. Write) και σε benchmarks.

 

Εγγύηση έχουν και οι δύο για 5 χρόνια ή 600 TBW και σε όλες τις εργασίες αποδίδουν περίπου το ίδιο. Πρακτικά δεν περιμένω να δει κανείς διαφορά σε καθημερινή χρήση, οπότε και στην τύχη να διαλέξεις, δε φαντάζομαι να το μετανιώσεις.

Σε ποιο απ'τα 2 δισκάκια να πάω (αξιοπιστία κτλ.).

γιατί στα μεταχειρισμένα οι εξυπνάκιδες-μαυραγορίτες θα μείνουν με την..κάρτα στο χέρι
