Αλλαγη domain name σε ιστοσελιδα

Παιδια μια βοηθεια.

 

Θελω να αλλαξω το domain name σε μια σελιδα που εχω.

Αγορασα το νεο, στον ιδιο hoster (hostgator) και τωρα δεν ξερω πως το αλλαζω.

 

Δοκιμασα αυτο εδω, αλλα μετα δεν ανοιγει ουτε το παλιο ουτε το νεο.

Modify the configuration .php file of your Joomla InstallationLogin to your cPanel and then go to the File Manager.Locate the installation files for your Joomla files.  Search for the root folder of your Joomla installation, then open the CONFIGURATION.PHP file in one of the editing options of the File Manager.Look for the following setting:public $live_site='domain_name.com';The "domain_name.com" represents the current setting.  Below the "new_domain.com" represents your new domain name. Replace the text of the current domain name with your new domain name.public $live_site='new_domain_name.com';Once you have completed the change, click on SAVE CHANGES in your editor. 

Νομιζω πως πρεπει να μεταφερω και τα αρχεια καπως, αλλα δεν ξερω. 

 

Υπαρχει καπου καποιος οδηγος να το φτιαξω;

 

πχ να λεει οτι πρεπει πρωτα να μεταφερω τα αρχεια, μετα να αλλαξω το domain και μετα να κανω 301 redirect.

Έχεις φτίαξει τους DNS του καινούργιου domain να κοιτάνε το hosting? Μετά απο αυτό θα κάνεις και ένα forward απο το παλιό  domain name στο καινούργιο για 

να μην χάσεις την υπάρχουσα επισκεψημότητα.
