DLSS is a strong upscaling option for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, and its “Native” mode delivers performance levels remarkably similar to native TAA, while offering higher image quality.
With appropriate settings and DLSS upscaling, most Nvidia users should be able to run Black Flag Resynced at 60+ FPS on PC with ease. Add on Frame Generation, and users of high-refresh-rate monitors should have an incredibly smooth experience. On our RTX 5080 at 4K, we could run Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced at an average frame rate of 343 FPS. Yes, you can make your “fake frame” arguments, but these frames can make games look much smoother on high-refresh-rate displays. While some may call these framerates excessive, it is worth noting that MSI and Samsung both unveiled 4K 360 Hz OLED monitors at Computex 2026. 60 FPS multiplied by 6 is 360 FPS. Coincidence? Nvidia knew what it was doing when it unveiled DLSS 6x Frame Generation".
