rFactor 2 ‘Stock Car Build’ 1008 Now Available! Stock cars, undoubtedly the most popular form of motor racing in the United States, is often seen as primitive by Europeans and much of the rest of the world. It is our hope to change this perception by giving all our customers access to what is, our neck of the woods. Highly recommended to read the B1008 release post. Handling Due to the extreme loads seen in the corners, you must be very careful with your steering lock application; Aim to have the car in the narrowest of slides, getting near peak grip without exceeding this limit, and trying to hold this for the entire corner. A light trail brake into the corner, transferring weight in a controlled manner, and building throttle as you exit the corner, is the normal technique. Keep in mind that the tires are designed to fall-off significantly in performance, especially after the first couple laps, you will need to ease off the gas sooner and sooner on every lap thereafter, also being more careful on the throttle so as not to overheat the tires. Setup wise, and driving style likewise, the main difficulty is getting the car to be consistent and balanced through an entire stint. Making a qualifying setup is relatively easy, but it will be in your interest to balance the outside tire wear front to rear through both setup and driving technique. Shifting The engine is a large 5.8L V8 with around 740hp. Peak power is produced somewhere around 9000RPM, and redline at about 9500RPM. The torque curve is quite vast, having only a 4-speed transmission. Short shifting is necessary only to curtail wheelspin, or save fuel. On most oval circuits, due to the 3rd gear ratio rule (which must be 1.28:1 or lower), you will be restricted to 4th gear in normal running. Choose your final drive ratio carefully to ensure maximum performance over the lap, and that you won’t hit the limiter in draft. Acceleration On road courses (and also leaving the pits), you do need to be wary of the torque in 1st and 2nd gears, you usually won’t even be able to use full throttle in these gears even with the car in a straight line. 3rd gear may also be difficult to apply full throttle, so sometimes you should remain reserved until in a straight line. For speedways, the difficulty is accelerating with an asymmetrical setup as the car will be constantly be trying to pull in one direction. You just have to know your limits here. At restrictor plate tracks, the engine is de-tuned to about 470hp. The air restrictor drops the peak RPM’s and this usually makes the car a little easier to drive, but the low end torque is still quite abundant. Braking – Roadcourses Having a high capacity engine, you will typically feel a strong engine braking effect, this has a habit of changing the effective brake balance of the car in each gear. As such, the engine braking on the rear wheels can be very strong in 1st gear at high RPM’s, probably a combination best avoided. Be smooth and late with down shifts, you will also need to blip the throttle to avoid rear lockups. This effect is amplified by the fact it only has 4 gears, so the gap between each shift tends to be quite high. If it helps, move the brake bias forward. Apply much of your braking in a straight line, as locking inside wheels is easy due to the stiff front anti-roll bar. Near top speed, the downforce adds about 60% to the cars’ weight, so you should be able to apply more braking torque at higher speeds. With the car being relatively heavy, you may need to ease into braking initially to allow the car to settle, and relax the pedal later into braking zones, light trail braking is possible. Braking – Speedways Using roadcourse techniques on speedways would sacrifice too much speed, and trail braking is a must. While braking systems are typically similar on speedways, the higher speeds allow the brakes to cool, and braking distances are usually shorter due to high corner speeds. The disc sizes available are different, and maximum torques usually a little bit less. Keep in mind pitting will be tricky with the asymmetrical setup on ovals, and the smaller discs can be a little easier to overheat. For tracks where little braking is required, a weaker (lighter) brake system may be used. Tire Management At the speeds and loads these kind of cars produce, applying just slightly too much lock, or sliding the rear tires a tiny bit, will very quickly produce detrimental results for the tires. In many ways, tire management over the entire length of a fuel stint is exactly what stock car racing is all about. Setup and driving style are everything.

Όλοι κάνουμε λάθη, οπότε και εγώ ας πω το δικό μου...τόσο καιρό που έχω το rF2 δοκίμαζα mods...μερικά είναι καλά μερικά όχι... Αλλά είχα ξεχάσει τα γνήσια του rF2: Το μεγαλύτερο λάθος μου στην ιστορία του pc racing sim... :( :( Για να καταλάβετε...ο ήχος είναι καλύτερος του R3E...για την συμπεριφορά δεν θα μιλήσω, όποιος μπορεί και τα δοκιμάσει ας μας πει την άποψή του...

Καλό...αλλά ειδικά σε F1 πάμε αλλού... (και όλοι γνωρίζουν ότι είμαι φανατικός του R3E !!!)

Mηχανή rFactor 1 έχει...αλλά στο max. Είναι καλό αλλά... ----> ...δεν έχει νόημα μια τέτοια επένδυση από την στιγμή που υπάρχει το rFactor2...

Διακρίνω DRM από rFactor ??? Aυτό είναι το τελειότερο mod όλων των εποχών !!! Θα έχει καλά πατήματα ο μικρός !!!

Όποιος ενδιαφέρεται για αύριο μπορεί να ενημερώσει αλλιώς το αυριανό event δεν θα λάβει χώρα.

Την Πέμπτη θα γίνουν δοκιμαστικά με Zolder και Group 5. Yπενθυμίζω ότι για να κρατήσεις το Group 5 μέσα στον δρόμο θα ζοριστείς αλλά όταν μπαίνει το turbo φεύγει σαν ρακέτα... Bέβαια το τελειώς άρρωστο θα ήταν το παρακάτω...

Ωραία, να καταλήξουμε κάπου τουλάχιστον στα αυτοκίνητα...παράδειγμα βλέπω incompatibility ανάμεσα σε wolves και AngeloVZR Μπορούμε βέβαια να πούμε με τι επιθυμούμε να τρέξουμε και μετά καταλήγουμε...εγώ τα έχω σχεδόν όλα Τα Group 5 είναι τρομερά βγάζουν άγρια γούστα, το DTM92 είναι καλό και τα WTCC (αλλά και τα GTR3 και DTM14)

Έκανα μια προσπάθεια να δω αλλά δεν έχουμε όλοι τα ίδια... Όποιος όμως επιθυμεί και έχει χρόνο μπορεί να πει τι έχει από αυτοκίνητα και πίστες. Δηλαδή κάπως έτσι: Nickname: mad_dog Aυτοκίνητα: ADAC14, DTM92, GTR3 κ.τ.λ. Πίστες: Salzburg, Zandvoort, Zolder κ.τ.λ.

Ωραία, πολύ καλά νέα αυτά. Μια τελειώς υποθετική ερώτηση...θέλω να κάνω μια πρόταση για μελλοντική Leagues & Communities Στην περίπτωση που κάνω πρόταση, με τι αυτοκίνητα θα θέλατε να τρέξουμε... DTM 14 DTM 92 Group 5 ADAC GT3 Υπενθυμίζω για αυτούς που ενδιαφέρονται ό,τι πρέπει να διαλέξουν μια κατηγορία γιατί με αυτή θα τρέχουμε συνέχεια... Επίσης για τους φίλους του R3E υπάρχει μια μικρή ομάδα στο Steam και όσοι θέλουν μπορούν να γραφτούν για να ξέρουμε πόσοι είμαστε ενεργοί με το R3E

Μην το υποτιμάτε το R3E...το επόμενο update που περιμένουμε έχει να κάνει με τα physics (φρένα, καιρός κ.τ.λ.) Το FFB είναι αρκετά καλό και μην ξεχνάτε είμαστε ακόμη στην Alpha 0.3...έχει πολύ δρόμο ακόμη. Με τον Λάμπρο είχαμε καλές μάχες σε μερικά σημεία και ζητώ συγνώμη γιατί από λάθος μου τον έβγαλα έξω... @sud1500t στον τελευταίο γύρο είπα να τα δώσω όλα, ελπίζω να μην σε τρόμαξα (στο τελευταίο S) όταν είδες ότι μου ξέφυγαν λιγάκι τα φρένα... To επόμενο λέγαμε να είναι WTCC σε Zolder, αλλά αν θέλετε Group 5 κανένα πρόβλημα. Να ξέρετε όμως τα group 5 δεν είναι για βόλτες, ιδρώνεις και μόνο να το κρατήσεις μέσα στον δρόμο...δεν μιλάω καν για πίεση και χρόνο... Aν βρω χρόνο θα κάνω video από τον αγώνα για προσηλυτισμό...

Πολύ καλό το σημερινό, λίγα ατομα αλλά καλό. Συγνώμη που ταλαιπώρησα τον geovas77..και ίσως να ξενέρωσε επειδή ήμασταν αργοί...έκανα και λαθάκια και ζητώ και για αυτό συγνώμη. Ο geovas77 πάρα πολύ καλός, μας είχε στον γύρο 3sec...καταλαβαίνετε...καθαρός και γρήγορος. Πολύ θα χαρώ να τα ξαναπούμε αν βέβαια έχει πάλι χρόνο και όρεξη να τρέξει μαζί μας.

Λοιπόν δεν έχει δικαιολογίες...και δεν θα είναι αγώνας περίπατος !!! Δεν έχει χαλάρωση !!! Θα πέσουν κορμιά, οι προφυλακτήρες θα σπινθιρίζουν σαν τις μπιγολαμπίδες, τα λάστιχα θα λιώσουν σαν τα σουβλάκια στα καρβουνα, τα λάδια της μηχανής θα σκορπίζονται σαν τις ψιχάλες της βροχής !!! Nαι, αν είμαστε παραπάνω (που σημαίνει είμαστε τουλάχιστον τρεις) εννοείται κάνω δικό μας server... Τελικά να το κλείσουμε από τώρα... Θα προτιμούσα ADAC, αλλά αν η παρέα είναι για Group5 ακολουθώ ευχαριστώς. Tα στοιχεία του TS3 Server είναι γνωστά. Όποιος δεν τα γνωρίζει μας ενημερώνει. O Admin να κοιτάξει λίγο το Bord, πρέπει να έχει μικροπροβλήματα... Aν είναι όμως να τρέχουμε κάθε εβδομάδα ή μια φορά τις δύο εβδομάδες θα επιθυμούσα να τρέχαμε με συγκεκριμένο αυτοκίνητο. Για αυτό επιμένω και για το ADAC το οποίο έχει ενδιαφέρον αυτοκίνητα και συναγωνισμό. Μια άλλη καλή λύση είναι GTR3 καθαρά. Προτείνετε και εσείς τις προτάσεις σας.

Εγώ έχω όλη την σειρά Group5 Ωραία, αν είναι να πούμε και ώρα και όποιον άλλον βρείτε τον λέτε.

Για μένα ιδανικό θα ήταν ή Group5 ή DTM92. Αλλά και το ADAC14 έχει καλά αυτοκίνητα. Πείτε με τι θέλετε και πείτε και όσους άλλους ξέρετε να μαζευτούμε Δευτέρα για τον αγώνα. Λεπτομέρειες θα έχουμε σε λίγο. TS3 Server έχουμε δικό μας.

Ωραια, άρα θα τρέξουμε αύριο Δευτερα. Βέλγιο με ADAC

Eπειδή με φοβάται με τα Group5 για αυτό το είπε... :p GT3 και ADAC14 είναι καλή επιλογή, όπως και η DTM92... Να κάνω poll ή το κλείσαμε ? Δευτέρα βράδυ, αυτοκίνητα βλέπουμε από εδώ.

Ας μαζευτούμε αυτοί που ενδιαφέρονται στο R3E. Δοκίμασα την Spa σήμερα με Group5 και DTM92...απλά εγκεφαλικά το ένα μετά το άλλο...πολύ πόρωση. Αν υπάρχει ενδιαφέρον να τρέξουμε Κυριακή την Spa.
