Ο τίτλος του παιχνιδιού δεν είναι αυτός, αφού είναι άγνωστος ακόμα μιας και το παιχνίδι δεν υπάρχει. Θα φτιαχτεί όμως από την εταιρεία Double Fine του Tim Schafer δημιουργού πολύ γνωστών adventure παιχνιδιών όπως Full Throttle, Grim Fandango, Psychonauts, και Brütal Legend καθώς και συνδημιουργού των The Secret of Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge και Day of the Tentacle.

Κάτι ξεχωριστό που θα έχει αυτό το παιχνίδι είναι ότι θα χρηματοδοτηθεί αποκλειστικά από απλούς χρήστες μέσω της ιστοσελίδας Kick Starter. Σκοπός ήταν να μαζευτούν 400.000$ για να γίνει αυτό το project πραγματικότητα και το εντυπωσιακό είναι ότι τα χρήματα μαζεύτηκαν σε μόλις 8 και κάτι ώρες!

Εδώ μπορείτε και εσείς να συμβάλλετε στο να μαζευτούν ακόμα περισσότερα χρήματα τα οποία θα χρησιμοποιηθούν επίσης στην ανάπτυξη του παιχνιδιού. Με 15$ ουσιαστικά κάνετε pre-order του παιχνιδιού το οποίο θα είναι διαθέσιμο μέσω Steam και θα έχετε πρόσβαση στην early beta του, επίσης στο Steam. Με περισσότερα χρήματα έχετε και ανάλογα extras

Ενδιαφέρουσα η προσπάθεια για το adventure! Επίσης πολύ ενδιαφέρον είναι και το concept του kickstarter. Δημιουργικοί άνθρωποι ψάχνουν οικονομική υποστήριξη στην Κοινότητα για τα project τους, κι όχι στις μεγάλες εταιρείες/τράπεζες κτλ.

That’s all there is to it! Think it will work? I hope so, because I would rather work directly for the fans than for anyone else. If the Double Fine Kickstarter Adventure is a success, it could open the doors for all sorts of new funding possibilities, and all kinds of new games that could never happen in the old system. Ναι το είχα γράψει και εγώ:

μπορείτε και εσείς να συμβάλλετε στο να μαζευτούν ακόμα περισσότερα χρήματα τα οποία θα χρησιμοποιηθούν επίσης στην ανάπτυξη του παιχνιδιού.

Το θέμα είναι ότι θα έχουν τουλάχιστον 4 φορές περισσότερα χρήματα απ' όσα ζήτησαν. Δεν μπορώ να φανταστώ όλα αυτά να πάνε στην βελτίωση του παιχνιδιού και του ντοκυμαντέρ.

Αν αποφασίσουν να το κάνουν port και σε άλλες πλατφόρμες τότε μάλλον θα τους χρειαστούν.

Αν και πάλι περισσεύουν ε τότε ας μειώσουν την τελική τιμή του παιχνιδιού.

[MENTION=3623]EraserheadX[/MENTION] θεωρώ ότι η τιμή του θα είναι τουλάχιστον 15€. Νομίζω δεν θα ήθελαν να δυσαρεστήσουν αυτούς που πλήρωσαν 15€ ήδη για το "pre-order" του μέσω kickstarter...

Για να κάνουμε συζήτηση όμως, αν για την ολοκλήρωση ενός παιχνιδιού θες 300k$ και για το ντοκυμαντέρ του 100k$, τότε με 1.800k$ όχι μόνο βελτιώνεις το παιχνίδι, το παρέχεις σε άλλες γλώσσες και σε άλλες πλατφόρμες, αλλά φτιάχνεις και ένα δεύτερο.

Δηλαδή 300k$ για το base παιχνίδι στα αγγλικά, αλίμονο αν θες 1400k$ επιπλέον για να το μεταφέρεις σε άλλες πλατφόρμες και να το μεταφράσεις σε άλλες γλώσσες. Εκτός αν μας κάνει την έκπληξη και με τα επιπλέον χρήματα φτιάξει και το Psychonauts 2 και το δίνει πακέτο με αυτό το παιχνίδι

'Time Traveler' is another playable character in Double Fine's mystery game

Double Fine's Ron Gilbert has revealed another character from his puzzling new title, this one called "the time traveler."

[MENTION=19449]mchls[/MENTION] οι 3 τελευταίες ειδήσεις που έβαλες δεν έχουν να κάνουν με το συγκεκριμένο παιχνίδι του θέματος. Πρόκειται για άλλο (συγκεκριμένα λέγεται "The Cave"). Το λέει άλλωστε και στο quote σου "different from Double Fine Adventure, the Kickstarter project"

Το συγκεκριμένο project δεν θα μπορούσε να έχει Publisher, πόσο μάλλον την Sega, αφού αυτός ήταν και ο λόγος που εξαρχής βγήκε στο Kickstarter.

Οπότε θα πρότεινα να φτιάξεις άλλο θέμα με το παιχνίδι "The Cave" και κάποιος mod να μεταφέρει τα posts σου εκεί. Το έκανα ήδη εδώ.
