A flagship phone means having the fastest processor, the most RAM, and the highest resolution display. Today, Oppo introduces us to its latest flagship device, and the spec sheet certainly doesn't disappoint.

The company unveiled the Find 7 at a special event in Beijing today and (as rumoured) there's actually more than one. There's a high-res and a "low-res" Find 7, depending on your needs. The former packs a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 (538 ppi) and is the first smartphone to feature a QHD panel. The second version of the Find 7, the Find 7 Lite, packs a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display and slightly modified specs (we'll get to that later).

Under the hood on the Find 7, you're looking at Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC SoC with a quad-core CPU clocked to 2.5 GHz and Adreno 330 graphics. Working alongside that is 3 GB of RAM, a 3,000 mAh battery, a 13-megapixel camera in the back, a 5-megapixel camera up front, and 32 GB of storage. The camera is a 13-megapixel lens that can record 4K video as well as 720p slow-motion clips at 120fps. It can also capture 50-megapixel photos using a new Super Zoom functionality.

The Find 7 Lite is nothing to sniff at either and looks pretty impressive next to current generation flagships from other manufacturers. It's got the 5.5-inch 1080p display we talked about earlier, the same Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC SoC with a quad-core CPU (clocked to 2.3 GHz this time), 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, and a 2800 mAh battery. The camera technology is this model matches the camera technology in the QHD Oppo Find 7, so you'll still be able to capture 50-megapixel photos even if you don't pony up for the premium version.

Both run on ColorOS 1.2, which is Oppo's own custom UI, on top of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Oppo offered no indication as to when we can expect an upgrade to Android KitKat, nor did it talk about a CyanogenMod Find 7. Oppo's N1 shipped in December and was the first phone to ship with CyanogenMod pre-installed. The company is expected to ship a CM version of the Find 7 as well, though it hasn't been confirmed.

International pricing for the Find 7 isn't yet available, but the Find 7 Lite is launching in China priced at $499. The Find 7 is coming later and will be around a hundred bucks more.
