blade_pan Posted February 7, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2007 Ανοιγω εδω νεο thread και παρακαλω τους mod να κανουν το απαραιτητο merge... Τελικα μου εστειλε μια φορμα η Logi και μου εγραφε τα εξης, Dear Mr. blade_pan:P,Thank you for contacting Logitech's Electronic Technical Support. I understand that you get popping noise when using the Logitech Z-5500 speakers. I am sorry for the inconvenience. I suggest we try the following steps to confirm whether the popping issue is with the speakers or with the Input signal: 1) Please Disconnect all inputs to the Z-5500 control pod (no external connections to the pod except the subwoofer) 2) Power on the Z-5500 3) Set the input selection to "6 Ch Direct" (analog) on the Z-5500 control pod 4) Repeatedly (10 times) switch on/off the suspected third party device pausing for 5-10 seconds in-between each switching (popping may not occur with every switch). If the speakers are still causing the popping noise, then the speakers are experiencing a hardware issue. However, if the speakers are working properly in the above-mentioned test, then the issue is related with the input of the signal quality. I would like to inform you that the Z-5500 system will reproduce whatever signal it receives at the inputs. If it receives a bad signal containing noise and pops it will reproduce them. To resolve the issue of bad signal quality, I suggest you to should try the following steps: 1. Try using other means of input or transmitting the signal to the speakers. Please test the speakers using the Optical or RCA/Coaxial input instead of Analog Input. 2. Try using the speakers with another source-device to check if you observe the popping noise. Please use a battery powered device like a MP3 Player or a DiscMan for example. 3. I also suggest you to refer the URL given below to know the possible reasons for the noise and to resolve the issue: http://logitech-en-emea.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_emea.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=10 Please write back to me with the results of the above tests. We would be glad to assist you further in this regard.
