Kανένας με Dfi nf4 ultra-d που να χρησιμοποιεί Suspend to Ram(STR) - S3?

ωραία το s3 δεν δουλεύει επ ουδενί. γνωρίζει κανένας πως μπορώ να κάνω το s1 - suspend το HDD- να δουλέψει? το κάνω enable από το power options αλλα ποτε δεν βλέπω hibernate.

θα δοκιμασω και με ενα μονο δισκο να δω τι θα κανει. ε τοτε 38-45 επρεπε να ειχες πουλησει σε μενα το μομπο σου!

κρίμα να μην κάνει και s3 γιατί ήταν πολύ καλή μητρική σε oc. το θέμα τελειώνει εδώ τα ξύλωσα όλα και γύρισα πίσω στα παλιά και σίγουρα όσο αφορά το s3

εχω την dfi sli-dr - δεν εχω παρατηρησει προβλημα οσο ειχα τα ΧΡ,τωρα με τα βιστα εχω προβλημα με την hybrid (μνημη +σκλ.δισκο) οποτε το αφησα στο S3....

εχεις κανει update to bios ?? (το τελευταιο ειναι το 406,θα εχεις αρκετα παλια)

ναι είχα κάνει update βίος. αυτό μπού αναφέρεις. αλλα το s3 πρόβλημα δεν φτιάχτηκε ποτε.

το λες λες και είναι επιπλέον feature το να πεζή σε s3...αυτό είναι requirement απαραίτητο και δεν το διαπραγματευόμαστε. δηλαδή επειδή πάει τέρμα cpu και memory πάει να pi ότι δεν πρέπει να πεζή το s3???

απαράδεκτο από dfi αυτό το πράγμα...

δεν είμαστε data centers να παίζουν τα μηχανήματα μας 24/7. άσε που είναι και αντί οικολογικό -το να παίζουν συνεχεια

ναι καλά αυτά που λες αλλα το s3 δεν θα πρέπε να θεωρείτε κάτι "εξωπραγματικό" έτσι ώστε να παραληφθεί λόγο high specs.ισα ισα είναι τόσο βασικό που δεν θα έπρεπε καν να τίθεται θέμα απρόσκοπτης λειτουργίας του.

το ότι είναι high spec mobo δεν σημαίνει ότι θα πρέπει να ξεχάσει πως είναι...mobo (που πρέπει να κάνει και s3!)

Για δές πόσου βάζουν το pc σε S3

το πόση το βάζουν to s3 δεν έχει καμια απόλυτος σημασία. αστο έχει ο κατασκευαστής το s3 να λειτουργεί κανονικά και οποιος θέλει ας το βάλει.

συνεχίζω τα πειράματα ο άθλιος και έχω να αναφέρω τα εξής: έστησα ξανά το σύστημα με ένα δίσκο, ένα amd 3700+ single core, 2x512, 1 cdrw.εγκατέστησα directx και vga drivers και nf4 drivers και lan drivers.to S3 δουλεύει κανονικά!!! από HTT 200 ως 325 που το δοκίμασα κανένα πρόβλημα.

σε αντιπαράθεση με το προηγούμενο setup που ήταν dual core και raid0.

οποτε είτε το dual core την κάνει την δουλειά είτε το raid είτε κάποια επιπλέον προγράμματα που εγκαθιστώνται λόγο dual core (patches κτλ...)

κανένας καμια άποψη???

έβαλα και τον διπύρηνο πάνω και τα σχετικά patches και αλλαγή στη registry και το s3 δουλεύει κανονικά. και overclocked είμαι!! μα καλά δεν μπορώ να καταλάβω τι και πως...πριν δεν δούλευε τώρα δουλεύει?

μονο το raid μένει να δοκιμαστεί.

Κοιτα, επειδή έχω κι εγώ το ίδιο πρόβλημα με σένα, ούτε hibernate κανει.. έχω αρχίσει να πιστεύω ότι ή φταίει το raid (αν και δεν νομιζω) ή καποιος χαζός driver για εικονικές devices στυλ Atitool, acronis κλπ. Παλιότερα πίστευα ότι έφταιγε η Audigy αλλα τελικά δεν...

ζάχος τελικά δεν φταίει κανένα raid.apo χτες τα δουλεύω όλα αυτά χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα.και θα συ πω τι έκανα και μου δουλεύουν χωρίς να έχω καταλάβει γιατί τώρα δουλεύουν και πριν όχι. είχα επικοινωνία με το tech dept από dfi και να τι μου έστειλε ο τύπος.

Dear Sir:

I have set up a config here consisting of LP NF4 Ultra-D board and could not find any problems using the "S3" function. The system returned normally from S3 standby when I pressed the power button. With this in mind I suggest configuring the system as follows.

Remove the board from the casing and ensure that "JP17" is in positions 1-2. Jumper blocks 11~16 should be in positions 1-2 as well. From here strip the system down to CPU&Cooler, 1 Memory module in slot 2, 1 Videocard in PCIE1, Keyboard/Mouse, 1 HD, 1 CD/DVD device configured as Secondary Master, and the power supply connected at all 4 points on the MB. All other devices must be removed from the system. (This is important.) Upon doing this boot to BIOS, load the "Optimized Defaults", and set the "First Boot Device" to "CD-ROM". After this access Genie BIOS Setting>DRAM Configuration>Command per Clock and set it to "Disabled". Save and exit the BIOS. Do not make changes to other BIOS settings. (This is also important.) Proceed from here to do a fresh install of Win XP 32 bit to the HD, ensuring that the HD is fully formatted with NTFS. Also ensure that nothing is streamlined to the OS install CD with the possible exception of SP2. Once at desktop install Direct-X and your videocard drivers. Also install the chipset and LAN drivers as they are on the MB support CD. Access the Windows Device Manager and confirm that no devices appear with yellow exclamation marks next to them. If the device manager is "exclamation mark clear" then reboot the system and access the BIOS once again. Set the "ACPI Suspend Type" to "S3(STR)". Save and exit. When at desktop once again, access the "Power Options" and set the "System standby" in the pulldown menu to "After 1 Minute". Apply and Ok. Wait the allotted length of time and let the system slip into standby. Press the manual power button on the MB and note if the system will return from standby normally under these conditions.

If not then there a number a reasons why this behavior could be happening:

1: As you mentioned in a seperate mail the videocard driver could be an issue. Install the latest driver from www.nvidia.com to be more sure.

2: A device in the device manager still has a yellow exclamation mark next to it. If all drivers are not properly installed this can often result in a system not correctly

resuming from standby.

3: DFI Lan Party boards are very demanding on peripherals like the PSU and memory. In particular that 470 watt BeQuiet PSU might be under to much stress and is

having trouble delivering enough current the rails when the system is resumed. We normally advise the use of a 600 watt PSU in combination with this board.

4: AData memory is a reasonable choice for use on DFI boards but by no means the best. If possible please try a recommended brand such as OCZ, GSkill, or

Mushkin.

In summary set up the system as I have outlined and note if it helps. If all goes well try doing the same thing but this time install the OS to the RAID array. Basically add components back on at a time until everything is installed or a problem becomes evident.

που λες τα έκανα όλα αυτά σταδιακά όπως τα λέει και εντελώς ξαφνικά το s3 δούλεψε!! δεν ξέρω πως και γιατί. ίσος η σειρά με την οποια έγιναν τα πράγματα??? τόσο "μεδοθικο" να είναι??

βεβαια τώρα υπάρχει άλλο πρόβλημα. είτε είσαι oced η όχι μετά από resume η cpu τρέχει underclocked ακόμα και από default το ίδιο βεβαια και οι μνήμες. φαντάζομαι θα φτιάχνεται και αυτό. κάπου είχα δει μια λύση ότνα την βρω θα την ποστάρω. μονο που δεν ήξερα πως να το κάνω αυτό που περιέγραφε. λοιπόν λύση υπάρχει ως φαίνεται και είναι η παραπάνω για το s3!!!!
