Χθες πέρασα τον 7.8 και δουλεύει άψογα το CCC. Φορτώνει στιγμιαία όπως και το 3dMark06.

Η κάρτα πάντως έχει πολλή δύναμη. Στο DiRT παίζει στα 2048x1536 με Ultra Settings (εκτός motion blur και ΑΑ) χωρίς να πέφτει από 25~fps. Ακόμαι και το Cellfactor Revolution παίζει άνετα στα 1600x1200.

τα ρευματα που βαζω στην καρτα ειναι τα δυο καλωδια ρευματος που δινει η καρτα? η το ενα, και το αλλο αυτο που εχει το τροφοδοτικο?

Δεν έχει σημασία, απλά πρέπει να παίρνει τροφοδοσία και από τα 2 βύσματα.

O γνωστός και μη εξαιρετέος Macci έγραψε έναν ανεπίσημο οδηγό υπερχρονισμού για HD2900XT σε CrossFire mode ->

Here is a method that should allow you to overclock 2 x 2900XTs in CrossFire. Its not user-friendly (as there are quite a few steps involved) but should get the job done for now...

1st step is to download the GPUClocktool

2nd step is to get the updated toollib.dll file for GPUClocktool

Extract the zip file and then copy the DLL to the same folder (replaces the original DLL).

Then follow these steps:

1) disable CrossFire from CCC

2) bring up display properties and select display #2 (this would be the "Virtual" display that is connected to the 2nd GFX card)

3) extend your desktop to this 2nd display and hit "APPLY"

4) select "use this device as primary monitor" (for 2nd display), go back to display #1 and UNCHECK "Extend my desktop onto this monitor" THEN hit APPLY

5) now your primary card should be displaying blank image and the 2nd card is active, CONNECT your monitor cable to the 2nd GFX card and you should see your desktop and Windows again

6) open GPUCLocktool, select "3D clocks" and select the proper card from the drop down menu (the proper card is the one that gives you a proper 3D clock reading (e.g. 743/828 for example)

7) set GFX clocks to desired values (example 850/950) (NOTE: it will give an error saying "SetClock Failed" - you can ignore this, the clock adjustment works)

8) now your 2nd card is clocked to the right speed, now redo steps 2-5 and restore your desktop to the 1st GFX card and then connect the monitor back to the 1st card

9) again open GPUClocktool, select "3d clocks" and select the proper card (which should still have default 3D clocks) and adjust the 3d clocks to desired values (850/950 for example)

10) start CCC and ENABLE CrossFire

A quick way to confirm that your really clocked both cards is to run 3DMark06 HDR1 test (Canyon flight) first with default clocks and then after the adjustments.

Here is how much I gained going from 743/828 to 850/950 (using a 3G CPU):

EDIT:

NOTE1: tested with CAT 7.9 under WinXP 32bit (havent tried other OS versions yet)

NOTE2: if you want to change clocks again you need to go thru the whole list (and start by disabling CrossFire)

NOTE3: settings will be reset after reboot

Sorry για το εντελώς γκάου-σφήνα post, αλλά για δοκιμάστε και το PowerStrip. Στο (για δοκιμές) SLi(ρε μπάρμπα δεν λέμε για SLi....) που είχα φτιάξει με τις δύο 7300GT το Powerstrip έκανε overclocking ταυτόχρονα και τις δύο κάρτες(ελεγμένο από το RivaTuner, επιβεβαιωμένο από τα αποτελέσματα στα benchmarks). Ίσως να δουλεύει και με ATi/crossfire.

# Some software firewalls (such as Norton Personal Firewall or ZoneAlarm) remove the referrer from HTTP requests which will block any downloads on any site that does a referrer check. Hence such options should always be turned off. In Norton go to the Privacy Settings and disable browser privacy (which doesn't really protect your privacy anyway as your IP address will always be logged regardless of that setting), in ZoneAlarm go to Privacy -> Cookie Control -> Custom and uncheck "remove private header information".

# If you use a mozilla based browser (Mozilla, Firefox or Netscape Navigator), referrer sending can also be deactivated (it is activated by default). To change that setting, browse to "about:config", then search for "network.http.sendRefererHeader". If the value is set to 1, referrer sending is enabled, if it is set to 0, it is disabled. To enable it, double click on it, then change the value.

Παιδια λιγο off topic λεω να παρω μια 2900 αξιζει?Μιλαω για αμεση αγορα ετσι για δοκιμη.Εχουν βγει νεοι drivers και σιγουρα θα εχει βελτιωθει η επιδοση της.Να μην ξεχασω εχω 8800gts 320 τι λετε?

Μου έχουν πεί ότι και με δύο εξάρια κάνεις δουλειά!Το συγκεκριμένο 8 πινο είναι μόνο για την μητρική..Επίσεις μπορεί να είναι αυτό το thread για ΧΤ μόνο, αλλά οι καινούργιες 2900 PRO μόνο PRO δεν είναι!!!825/1980 stable!Εδώ

Οπως εχει ηδη αναφερει ο TASOS, αλλα και απο προσωπικη εμπειρια, σου λεω κατηγοριματκα οτι ΔΕΝ θελει απαραιτητα 8πηνο.
