INTRO

A few weeks ago we presented two very decent products by NesteQ in the cpu cooling departement, SilentFreezer 900 and 1200. As we had already mentioned, this company is expanded in other products.

To day we take a close look at FanMax, a fan controller for those who have a lot of fans and wish to control them easily and effectively.

You can't say a lot about a fan controller but FanMax left us with the best impression due to some characteristics as well as it's use.

Let's take a better look.

Once again, NesteQ delivers the looks in the best way. At the front of the hard carboned box the logo of the company as well as the two different color versions of FanMax, silver and black, are visible.

The small round banner defines the version you get, here we see the black one.

At the back you may find the special characteristics in English and in German which we will reffer to next.

In one side there are the specs and the RoHS Compliant index. We will see the entire specs later on.

On the other side there's a diagram for the buyer to understand how to use Fanmax depending on ones needs.

The black appearance is accompanied by an orange side where only the logo and product name was left to record.

Opening the box we can see the plastic antistatic bag covering Fanmax, attached to some antivibration protecting suspension

and of course FanMax, with all the cables and a small manual, 4 support screws which made a positive impression of a fully packed fan controller.

FanMax is powered by a classic 4pin molex, has 8 independent controllers in total, each with its own cable for every fan, meaning 8 fans in total.

As if it wasn't impressive enough, NesteQ engineers studied our every day needs and added, 2 fan workgroups of four fans each.

So, each group has each one "Master Switch", which essentially is a master power supply switch for the group responsible.

Now that means having some options.

We can either shut down all of our fans, or activate one or two groups when desired.

Of course we don't forget we can adjust our voltage between 6 και 12 Volt thus adjusting each fans rotation speed, and subsequently noise, independently.

As far as appearance is concerned, the high quality black alluminum gives a bonus to your case's appearance especially if it's also alluminum black.

When you power on, the blue index leds give an impressive look.

As far as installation it can be easily installed in any case on a 5.25" bay with the four screws included, that attach on the FanMax sides.

Last but not least, the cables included can connect 3-Pin as well as PWM connector fans, by simply adding or removing the appropriated plug.

Everyone has at least one fan in their computer. Most have more than four. Sometimes you want the maximum performance, sometimes you want the quietest computer. In the hot Greek summer the temperatures rise and in the cold winter Sweden they drop. Some fans are small and fast some are large and slow. Choice, control, flexibility. That's what FanMax is all about. Whichever the reason, FanMax is an exceptional choice for everyone who has a computer.

Even though we don't have a standard price for Greece we have been assured it will be quite cheap.

Given the low price and the all of the advantages:
