Sim City 5

A batch of what appears to be concept art for Sim City 5 has popped up on the web.

The shots, which you can check out below, were posted on NeoGAF along with a crude translation of an article from German magazine GameStar indicating the game is being developed by Maxis for a 2013 launch.

It apparently has a multiplayer mode and shows off a new graphics engine.

There's no indication as to what platforms the game is bound for.

We know for certain that Maxis is hard at work on something new and that an announcement is planned for GDC next week.

It's been nearly nine years since the last mainline entry in the franchise arrived on shelves. Take a look at our Sim City 4 review for more on how that turned out.

Δεν ξέρω αν είμαι ο μόνος, αλλά περνούσα πολύ ώρα με αυτά τα παιχνίδια (με απορροφούσαν και ξεχνιόμουν)

Θυμαμαι ενα χαρακτηριστικα που ηταν σε ντεμο της εποχης του 1998 οπου δεν θυμαμαι ουτε τιτλο απλα αμυδρα

καποιες εικονες. Ομως θα ψαξω μηπως το πετυχω καπου στο ιντερνετ.

Θα κλαψω, πραγματικα. Πρωτο ετος στο Πολυτεχνειο...

Με Sim City 4 + Rush Hour + καποια mod απο Simtropolis, εχασα σχεδον 2 εξαμηνα απο τη σχολη και 1 κ κατι απο τη ζωη μου. Σε καθημερινη βαση, επαιζα-κοιμομουν-επαιζα-κοιμομουν με λιγα διαλειμματα για ολες τις υπολοιπες λειτουργιες.

Μαζι με καποια mod, οχι σκληροπυρηνικα, ισως το καλυτερο παιχνιδι(?) που εγινε ποτε.

Πολύ ωραίο παιχνίδι. Άσχημα καψίματα απο το sim city 1 κλπ. Ειδικά ο πατέρας μου έχει ρίξει μήνες πάνω στο παιχνίδι.

Καλό και το citys xxl αλλά χάνει την μαγία του sim city δε με κόλλησε δυστυχώς.

The contents of a Limited Edition (£44.99) and Deluxe Edition (£64.99) went on to reveal Super Hero HQ and Evil Villain Lair extras, plus new characters, mystery items and crime waves.

The Deluxe Edition goes one better to include regional city sets: British, French and German. These include landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Brandenburg Gate and Big Ben. They also pack things like double-decker buses from London, high-speed trains from Germany and police and fire services from France.
